ABSTRACT PAINTER JULIE HAWKINS TAKES SURTEX
New artwork to be featured in surface pattern designs
Woodstock, ON, April 20, 2017– Artist Julie Hawkins will be exhibiting at this year’s Surtex for the first time. Recently, she has started her own textiles project, creating clutch bags and other accessories from her own paintings. In her booth at Surtex, you will be able to find unique artwork derived from original paintings, as well as individual pieces inspired by shapes and vibrant colours.
“I think that will be my differentiator, all of my work is my hand painted designs.”
Currently, Julie has her work licensed with companies like Nuvango, Camoflauge Heater, Modify Furniture, and Gelaskins. Her art can be found on many different items such as leggings, phone cases, and wall heaters. The show will take place May 21st – 23rd in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Center.
“Passion is contagious.”
An abstract painter from Ontario, Canada, Julie has been painting for 8 years. With a background in Interior Design, Julie has a very unique eye for detail.
