Phoenix, Arizona, April 10, 2017 - ThreeMacStudio is joining the amazing Surtex community in the Design District in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Center on May 21-23, 2017. A first time exhibitor, ThreeMacStudio (Booth #3332), brings a fresh take on classics and a renewal of original art.
The Studio’s collections include citrus, botanical, holiday and desert. “We all have our favorites within our collections and we have lively discussions — especially with Lynn (the youngest sister) about scale. The common thread of our work is quality and the layers of detail and depth that pull you in to experience the art. We believe this is the purpose of art — the experience. My grandmother and great aunt, both artists, influenced us greatly with their independence and deep passion for the expression of art,” said Lisa MacCollum, watercolor artist (and the oldest sister).
ThreeMacStudio was formed on the premise that three very talented sisters had something special to bring to the design community. “We have contemplated Surtex for many years and decided this is the year for our debut. Most of all, we are excited to be part of the Design District with other emerging artists in the surface design world,” said Michele MacCollum, artist (and the middle sister).
Three Sisters. Three Talents. A Legacy. Inspired by our original art and the connection of drawing, painting and color, ThreeMacStudio creates fresh, bold, refined and classic designs for surface, textile and paper forms.
Founded in 2011, ThreeMacStudio is a collaboration of individual styles and complementary talents of the three MacCollum sisters. Lisa, Michele and Lynn each make distinct and unique contributions to the design process transforming their original art into stunning practical forms that are layered with rich and vivid color, exquisite detail and visual texture.
