New York, NY –– Surface and Textile Designer Ritika Gandhi, debuting with her 2017 collection of textile and print works, will exhibit at Surtex 2017 at booth #3312.

At Surtex, Ritika will be showcasing her Hand Painted patterns and patterns derived from her Silk and Alcohol paintings. Also her Hand painted art work on silk, will be available for Wall art.

“My work is based on the psycho-physical perception of color. The colors are draw from my deep roots in Indian culture,” says Ritika. “I use colors that stimulate the human retina, arousing an intense emotional response from the viewer. You’ll find that my works evoke feelings of warmth, comfort and tranquility concurrent with fear , while reminding people of emotions they had forgotten.”

Ritika Gandhi grew up in India where she attained her Bachelors in Business, but in order to follow her life long dream of becoming an artist, she studied textile designing and went on to work as a designer in a textile manufacturing company. In the early 1990’s, she moved to New York where she worked as a freelance textile artist. Her travels then took her to Hong Kong where again she continued to work as a freelance artist.
