Lauren H. Carter is a fine artist and shaman. Her work combines vivid color, line, and pattern to achieve her goal of simply creating objects of beauty. Her practices in fine art and shamanic healing are integrated, rendering her art an extension of a mindful and meditative state. This in turn encourages the viewer to assume a state of peaceful relaxation, internal connection and balance. She earned her M.A. in Special Ed. in 2010 and her B.S. in Art Education in 2002. As a new exhibitor with Surtex, she is thrilled to be presenting her work to the design trade for the first time.
