My illustrations and print designs reflect living in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea for over twenty-five years. Life in NYC never ceases to inspire me. My art draws from watching New Yorkers strut their stuff and show off their personal fashion styles using the sidewalk as their fashion catwalk or from the natural beauty of the Highline's flora and fauna set against the backdrop of NYC. My rescue dogs Charlie and Buddy often join me on my walks through the city. These sources serve as inspiration for my reportage illustrations or print patterns.
My illustration career builds on designing and merchandising fashion apparel and accessories. I am also a professor for apparel product development in the Fashion Business Management department at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. My education includes a MFA from FIT in Illustration and a BFA from the University of Massachusetts in Textile Surface Design.
