"Looking at her 'Reflections' series I am taken aback at how she sees designs and colors in things and in places that most of us pass by and never see. The images, unaltered, are simply beautiful and they beckon the viewer to pause, take a breath and luxuriate in the patterns. It is clear that she is traveling down a unique road…leaving clues that suggest a true creative spirit at work." - Michael Katakis, author and photojournalist

  • This dynamic image “Graffiti Dots” is based on a small sampling of a graffitied underpass wall. The bold colors have only been enhanced slightly. This imagery has been used on my Jabberwocky chair, pillows, kimonos, and sneakers. It features the raw, unadulterated texture of the white wall below, covered dynamically with dripping over-spray and airbrush-like circles. It pairs well with the Pantone color of the year Ultraviolet.

Art for Living’s imagery is based on digital photography of found objects by Deborah Mills Thackrey. Many of our textures work well tiled onto larger printed items. Most of our work is custom tailored to our individual clients. We can often provide similar families of imagery and variations. We can work to tweek this images to fit within a palette of other products. It is ideally suited for digitally printed applications.

Art for Living is taking award-winning, fine art off of gallery walls and making them available for a wide variety of contemporary surface design products.
